This troubleshooter will cover oil fired boilers and furnaces and gas fired boilers and furnaces. (Do you need to know the difference between boiler and furnace?)
. The way this troubleshooter works is through a series of furnace or boiler questions and answers. Please click on the statement that best describes your heating system, even if you think the problem is not related to the system at all.
|
| A boiler is a heating unit that heats baseboard or radiators with hot water or steam. |
| A furnace is a heating unit that heats with forced warm air. |
This is from my prospective, I understand that most home owners call anything that heats a furnace.
For this troubleshooter I will only call units that blow hot or warm air a furnace, and anything that has baseboard or radiators hot water or steam will be called a boiler. |
